Brain Trust

The vision and strategy of Indonesia's Investor Group Against Digital Divide was not conceived by this website but by an extraordinary group of Indonesian nearly 200 leaders convened by The Habibie Center in Jakarta's Grand Melia Hotel on December 6, 2007. Many of these individuals continue to advise IGADD, a group we refer to as our “Brain Trust.” Surprisingly, there are only a few engineers and computer scientists among them. Most were those who represent Indonesia's intelligencia – leading academics, influential bloggers and journalists from the established media, ethicists, anthropologists and political economists. Their ideas stimulated the strategies for the development of internet infrastructures and applications that elicit the wisdom of Indonesia's diverse cultures.

To see the summarized results of their deliberations, read the report in English or Bahasa.
